Real tools. Real teams. Real engineers.
To give every young person in Northern Virginia a real workshop, real tools, and real mentors — so they don't just learn about engineering, they become engineers.
Why STEM4U
The camps and coding chains nearby teach a class and send kids home. We build engineers.
Most places nearby teach a class or run a week of summer camp, then send kids home. We do something different: we field real FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams that build all season and compete at regional and championship tournaments. Your child doesn't just learn about robots — they build one that has to work on the field, in front of judges, against other teams. That's an experience a class can't give.
STEM4U is a real engineering workshop — robot competition fields, 3D printers, an electronics bench, real tools. Kids build with actual hardware, wire real circuits, and figure out why something broke and how to fix it. It's the difference between watching engineering on a screen and doing it with your hands. Real tools, real teams, real engineers — it's our promise, and it's how the space is built.
We're not a one-and-done camp. A child can start with Robotics as early as kindergarten, grow into a FIRST LEGO League team in elementary and middle school, then a FIRST Tech Challenge team in high school — picking up drones, CAD, coding, and AI along the way. It's one place your family can stay for years, with a real trajectory instead of a scattered set of unrelated camps.
STEM4U was founded by Northern Virginia parents who wanted better, hands-on options close to home — not a national chain running a script. Teams are small, coaching is hands-on, and we treat every kid as a capable young engineer — met at their level and pushed toward real goals. You'll know the people teaching your child.
STEM4U was founded by Northern Virginia parents who wanted better, hands-on STEM options close to home — a place where kids do real engineering, not screen-based theory. We give kids the workshop, the mentorship, and the challenge they need to build things that actually work, and we push every student toward real goals: a robot that scores, a drone that flies a clean course, a design that prints.
